FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I order samples before I commit?
Absolutely. At Construction Collection, we know that seeing a product in your own space can make all the difference. That’s why we offer samples for all our tiles, natural stone, and floorboards. It’s a simple way to get a feel for the colour, texture, and quality before you make an order. We’ll even refund your sample cost when you proceed with a full purchase.
2. How does delivery work and what does it cost?
We offer delivery across Australia. Delivery fees vary based on your location and the size of your order. Once your order is dispatched, we’ll send you tracking details so you can keep an eye on things. If you have special delivery requirements - just give us a shout.
3. What’s your return policy?
You can return products within 30 days of dispatch as long as they’re unused, in original packaging, and in a condition we can resell. A 25% restocking fee applies, and you’ll need to cover return freight. Please note: returns aren’t accepted for clearance items, or made-to-order products. If you're unsure about a product, our team is happy to help before you place your order.
4. How do I choose the right tile for my space?
Think about where your tiles will be used - wet areas like bathrooms need slip-resistant options, while kitchens and living areas might lean more on durability and design. Our product descriptions include all the important specs, and our team is here to offer personalised advice if you need it. Not sure where to start? Get in touch and we’ll guide you through the best options for your project.
5. Do I need to seal my tiles?
Some tiles do, some don’t. Most ceramic and glazed porcelain tiles won’t need sealing, but natural stone tiles and unglazed varieties definitely do. If you're working with marble, travertine, or limestone tiles, we always recommend sealing them before and after installation to protect from stains and moisture. Need the right sealer? We can help with that too.
6. Can I use floor tiles on the wall or vice versa?
Floor tiles are often suitable for walls, but wall tiles usually aren’t made to handle foot traffic and wear. Always check the specs, and if you’re unsure, we’re more than happy to confirm whether a tile is suitable for your intended use.
7. What payment methods do you accept?
We make it easy. You can pay securely using credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, or one of our buy-now-pay-later options like Afterpay, Klarna or Zip. Our checkout is fully secure and encrypted, so you can shop with peace of mind.
8. How do I calculate how many tiles I need?
Just measure your space in square metres, then add 10–15% extra for cuts, wastage, and any future repairs. If you’re using a complex pattern (like chevron or herringbone), it's best to allow a little more.
9. What happens if my tiles arrive damaged?
If something goes wrong, we’ve got you covered. If you notice damage at the time of delivery, please let the driver know and take photos straight away. If the damage isn’t visible until after unpacking, just contact us on the same day with clear photos, and we’ll work quickly to sort out a replacement or refund.
10. Do you supply to builders, designers, or commercial projects?
Yes, we do! Construction Collection works closely with builders, interior designers, architects, and developers. Whether you're working on a residential renovation or a large commercial fit-out, we can assist with bulk pricing, custom sourcing, and tight lead times. We’re happy to collaborate on samples, mood boards, or design packs, and we’ll make sure your selections match the look and performance you’re after.
